Guitar situation.?
okay, here's my situation:
i have a Epiphone Sg 400, w/ a gorilla gg- 25 amp (it like 15 years old and has basic distortion"tubestack/aka distortion channel", volume, master volume, treble, middle and bass.
my friend is going to try and let me borrow a HUGE fender amp (it like made in the 1960's or so..).
i want more distortion/ effects to for my guitar, and so i was either gonna get a new amp w/ lots of buttons and switches or i was going to get an effect pedal () or distortion pedal, what should i get????? AND i can only spend less than $100. so should i get a practice amp w/ lots of buttons, a effect pedal () or get a basic distortion pedal (Uber Line 6, or Ibanez Tube screamer for example) . I play normal punk, rock, punk-rock, i enjoy SOME metal, might practice some blues to expand my guitar playing horizon and i also like bands like fob, mcr, dragonforce, sum 41, greenday, etc. please help me out w/ this situation. thanks for reading.
Take your guitar to a guitar shop, tell them what you want and how much you have to spend. It's possible that an effects pedal alone is all you'll need, but they may also have a decent used amp that can provide the sound you're looking for.
