Reverb mod for Fender Hot Rod Deville 410?
I have a mid-90's Fender Hot Rod Deville 410 and I was wondering if anyone knows of a mod that can be done to change the spring driven reverb to a tube driven reverb.
It is called a spring reverb but there is no such thing as a spring driven reverb. It is either tube driven or solid state.There is a spring involved but it doesn't drive the reverb. Your Deville is a tube amp so I would assume the reverb is also tube driven. This is not always the case though because some tube amps rely on solid state components for certain features. I know people with tube amps , power and preamp, that have solid state reverb units and rectifiers installed. But I don't think that fender would put a solid state reverb in a tube amp, they might but I just can't see it. If your not happy with your reverb you can always disconnect it and get an outboard reverb unit. Anyway , i have included a link that explains reverb units to some degree , hope it helps.
