Which bass guitar should I get?
the Ibanez GSR200

Please take a look at the features of both and let me know which one you think would be better, and I don't care about the brand name, so please just don't say Ibanez because it's Ibanez.
Which one do you think can handle both jazz and rock?
I was looking at the Laguna because it has dual active EQ, I don't know if the Ibanez has that, and the Laguna also has bass boost/cut and treble boost/cut, I know the Ibanez has bass boost, but I don't know about treble boost.
also, which one would be better for slapping and plucking?
I recently went to a shop and tried a GSR200 out. The Ibanez has the 'Phat' 2 boost control which did not do much to the 'Phatness' of the sound at all, and the strings sounded flat and cheap. Both basses more or less have the same EQ controls and (although I have yet to try out the Laguna) i would say both could handle jazz and rock to a degree. Overall they are much the same product, however, I personally would go for the Laguna. In my opinion, the materials are nicer eg. Rosewood bridge, Indian rosewood fret board and what looks to me like soap bar pickups...All help give off a warm, rich tone, a plus for slap style playing...Hope this has helped.
