does maplin order in from other companies?
hi, basically, i was wondering if maplin ordered in from other companies because i'm currently in the process of building a cloned guitar effects pedal (zvex fuzz factory for anyone who cares) and i need to get two 5k potentiometers and two ac128 transistors. i'm not old enough to buy from ebay and my parents are edgy about letting me buy online so if i could just find out if maplin order components from other companies specifically for a customer, then that would be great. i also don't live near any other half decent electronics stores so yeah...

Don't know about transistors though. They buy everything in bulk from suppliers and deliver it to stores from their main distribution point. They'll probably have what you need. Their catalogue costs a couple of pounds which you can buy instore.
