On the Billy Idol track "Rebel Yell," how does guitarist Steve Stevens get the "ray-gun" sound effect?
The best way I can do this is a hard stomp on the wah-wah pedal with quick bending, but it still doesn't sound quite right. I play an early 90's Telecaster. Advice?
He probably has some other kind of pedal in there. Maybe a Flange or Phase pedal? Experiment, maybe you will find a cooler sound anyways! Wish I could be of more help.
