I need help with my car stereo set up im running a 100 watt amp?
Okay, I'm using a Rockford Fosgate Punch 100.2 Trans-ana amp. The specs on the back of the amp says "50 watts into 4 ohms 0.05% total harmonic distortion" and nother wattage ratting as stated "100 watts into 2 ohms per channel 0.1% total harmonic distortion" I have no idea what that is. Well anyways the subs i have for it are two 12'' Rockford Fosgate Punch Power Hx2's in a big sealed box. I wanted to do a set up just like my neighbors because he has the similar amplifier and same speakers and his sounds LOUD!!!! with just that "100 watt" amplifier he has connected to them. Can anyone tell how i can get mine hitting as hard as his. The car i have is a toyota corrola SR5 two door. Thanks
Dude, that amp is too small for ONE of those subs. Thats a tiny little amp, and will not pound those subs hard. They are big and power hungry... you really need to save up for a new amp. He probably has his gain jacked up all the way, which is wrong.
Use that for your interior speakers and get a sub amp!
