Pulsing AC30 Tremolo?
I have a Chinese AC30CC2 and I just loaded her up with new tubes but I get this pulsating tremolo type wump... wump.. wump.. and I was wondering what it was. I was thinking of spraying some electronics cleaner on the pots but I don't know if that will fix it. This only happens when I connect the pedals, so maybe it's a bad connector? Also, I've got a johnson single button footswitch, and I was wondering how to turn the trem off because I can only seem to effect the reverb.
It is a very, very loud pulsating and my pedals don't seem to turn on at all (but I can get some lights out of my TU-2). No storms or nothin' like that either so I doubt they're the problem.
I put in a mullard GZ34, 2 tungsol 12ax7's, a middle EH 12ax7 balanced (phase inverter), and 4 mullard el84's
Hello there,
A pulsating or oscilating sound would be typical of a tube problem. Are you certain the new tubes are compatable with that amp. Are you certain they are all good. Some where in swapping out tubes you have created a tube problem. Did you do anything with the bias when you were changing tubes.
