I got a 9vdc cord for my Line 6 Pocket POD express, but it only works with batteries?
It works fine with batteries, but I hate buying batteries. I had a 9vdc cord in my house and i saw that that is what you need to plug into the line 6 Pocket POD express. It fits in it perfectly, but it doesn't work. It is not because of the cord because it works with other things fine. No lights light up or anything. I can only make it work with the batteries. WHAT SHOULD I DO????
It can be 1 of 2 things.
1. The polarity of the 9VDC cord is wrong
(Example: + in the middle, - on the outside, when it is supposed to be the other way around)
It will work on those other things because they are wired that way. There will be a note stamped in the plastic of the POD near the power cord plug-in that tells you which way it is supposed to be.
2. There is an isolation diode inside the POD that has become burned out and should be replaced. This is something that can actually be repaired by a qualified repair-dude, and for less than the cost of a new POD.
