What is the best distortion pedal for bass?
I'm looking for a bass distortion pedal, and had a few ideas on ones I like but was wondering if anyone had experience with these pedals/effects.
1) Big muff bass Pi- many have recommended and have had experience with it and liked it.
2) Boss me20b- Has more than just distortion on it, but does anyone have any experience with it.
3)Behringer BOD400- I have both a behringer tuner and flanger and enjoy them both, plus it is way cheaper than any, is there a reason for that?
4)Ashdown Drive plus distortion/ sub octive plus bass pedal/ James Lomenzo overdrive pedal.
5)Boss ODB-3
6)Digitech XBD
Any experience or suggestions with any of these pedals would be greatly appreciated thanks 
Well, Big Muff is garbage for studio work.
The ODB-3 has a balance knob that lets you mix in the clean signal. Set the balance knob close to "DRY" (9 o'clock) and the gain at about 2 o'clock. That will give a good clean, yet distorted sound. Works well in recording studios.
