Should I blend the Pro Co Rat 2 distortion pedal with a Boss SD- 1? Please help?
I have a Pro Co Rat2 Distortion Pedal and I want to get an even HEAVIER overdrive (maybe that of Radiohead such as songs like Bodysnatchers, The Bends, etc). What I mean by "Radiohead distortion" is the overdrive "whine" I suppose. I KNOW that Jonny Greenwood uses a Marshall Shredmaster so don't tell me to go buy one of those. Please let me know if combining the Rat and a Boss SD-1 (super overdrive) would be a good idea or not. If not then let me know what a good pedal to combine it with would be. Thanks very much!
The Rat already sucks a pile of bass out of the signal. Once its gone, adding another drive pedal won't bring it back. An EQ pedal would be more beneficial because you can fatten it up with out losing punch from a super punchy pedal like the Rat.
