How to use guitar tube head amp ?
My tube head will be coming to my house tomorrow!
I'm really excited! But I know it'll be a lot different than a solid state amp...
I'm wondering...
How do I turn the tube head on?
Some people say that I have to turn it on with stand by on and then let the tubes heat up for like a minute or two. Something like that, I can't remember..
How do I turn it off?
I've also seen things like putting stand by on when doing this... Again, I can't remember.
What about effects pedals?
On my solid state I just get the guitar cables and plug em in in a chain. Like , amplifier - pedal - pedal - pedal - pedal - guitar. (No pedal board yet, haha) 
Can I do that on tube heads? I know that they have an effects loop input thing... What is that and do pedals go there??

Dude, yes...
That wasn't really my question, though ...
The only big diff between solid state & tube is to make sure to turn on the tube amp & have it on standby til you're good to go. Solids are good to go from the get go. Tube amps, however, require a minute or 2 to heat up the tubes. You can start playing right away on a tube, if you insist, but you won't sound as good as when the tubes are up & running.
Other than that, its no big deal with regards to the placement of effects. While its generally accepted that going the effects loop route with regards to FX is best, I've gone straight out the front of the head when either the FX loop circuitry didn't work or caused a hum that wouldnt' go away.
