Blues Guitarists: Which of the following overdrive pedals do you feel best suits the blues?
The Boss BD-2 Blues Driver of the BB Preamp.
Note that this is between the stock versions of both pedals but, after you answer, feel free to add if there's a modified version of either pedal that you prefer. For example, if you prefer the Keeley-modified version of the Blues Driver over both the stock version of the Blues Driver and the stock version of the BB Preamp, add that on after you answer the main question.

The BD-2 is pretty much the standard blues overdrive pedal apart from the Ibanez TS9 and the mightier TS808. The BB preamp is OK but not quite the "blues" overdrive. Neither is the Keeley modified BD-2. I feel it's too harsh. Then again you might like it. However, you really can't go wrong with the BD-2 or the 2 Ibanezes I mentioned. The TS808 is the most sought after blues overdrive stompbox. It's out of production and the used ones on eBay sell for over 250 USD. However, you do get boutique clones of it for 100-150 USD. Gearmandude makes a TS9 clone called the Luther Drive which IMO pretty much nails it. You might want to check out the BBE Green Screamer (TS clone) as well.
My suggestion would be get both the BOSS as well as the Ibanez since they sound quite different(The Ibanez has more mid ranged while the BD-2 has better low end and highs). The best way to do that is to get a Behringer BO100 (BD-2 clone) and the Luther Drive. The Behringer COMPLETELY nails the BD-2 tone for a mere $20 (and even though it's a plastic casing, it's quite sturdy and you can always replace the circuit into a metal housing for 8-10 $) and the Luther Drive for $107 delivered to your home.
