How do I create a button on an Access 2007 form that searches one field?
I would like for the search to just look at one field. The user will enter the data they want to search for on the form and it will bring up the matching record. Is there a way to create a button on a form to do this?
Access has a built-in search on forms which can be invoked with Control + F. You can also use or open it using a button. Use the command button wizard.
For a more complex search, you need to use VBA, and DAO to FindFirst on the RecordsetClone, get the Bookmark, and set it on the Form's Recordset. (see MS Access help, there's an example).
