Best pen nibs or pens in general?
What are your pens or dip pens of choice when working on things like Manga?
I'm trying to figure out the best thing to use for inking fine lines while still acheiving texture.
I hate flexible pen nibs. I like the very stiff ones.
I've been a freelance artist for over 19 years now and I have discovered 3 makers of fineline pigment liners that have worked incredibly well for my line art and I believe would work well for your manga. The makers would be Staedtler, Helix and Millennium. They make an impressive selection of differently sized pigment liners. You can buy them in packs of 4 and 5, the Millennium set providing 5 different sizes for just under $10. .005, .01, .03, .05 and .08. The other two sets, Helix and Staedtler I have found in sets of 4, each size being .01, .03. 05 and .07.
