Is there anything wrong about playing a GUITAR through a MXR Bass Auto Q?
I had the opportunity to get one almost for free and I didn't miss it. Now trying to play guitar thru it.
You should be fine, experimenting with bass effects is pretty common with guitarists. The only time you might run into trouble is if the pedal was creating low frequencies that your speakers can't handle. This is pretty doubtful with just an auto wah, but with the filter settings you might want to take it easy. If you hear your speakers starting to get really muddy, or "farting", you might want to turn the volume down, or lower your bass EQ settings. What happens is that the speakers can receive a signal that's too low of a frequency for them to handle, and causes the cones to try to travel further in/out than they're designed to.
