Which wah pedal is better?
I've been looking at the vox v847 and original dunlop crybaby. which of these is better and why?
as far as more advanced pedals go, i looked at the vox joe satriani big bad wah and the morley steve vai bad horsie 2 wah. What is the advantage of these pedals, and also do they have a good clean sound or are they just for heavier stuff?
For your first question, the both the Dunlop and the V847 are similar, high quality wah pedals. The crybaby affects the sound of your guitar more, and it is more dramatic than the Vox, which is a bit more subtle. Each one has different uses, depending on what you want. The Dunlop also has a few more options/sounds than the Vox.
As for the more advanced pedals, the Satriani is like 2 pedals in one, as it has both the Vox V847 sound and a customizable wah sound. The Horsie also has a customizable wah, but is a little simpler (thus the price difference). If it was my choice, I would shell out the extra $$$ for the Satriani, or just go for the Crybaby.
