What do you use to replicate the strokes tone on guitar?
I have a Jekyll and Hyde pedal but I am not sure where to put the knobs to make it sound close. As of now I have it on the overdrive side only with the Drive at about 3 oclock, tone and about 2, and volume at 12. But I was wondering what others do. Thanks
Part of the their sound is the fact that they run their fender amps balls to the wall. I read an interview where they talked about their tone. They busted a bunch of hot rod Deluxes doing so, to get their solos.
I have both the Hot Rod Deluxe, and the Jeckyll and Hyde. I haven't really been trying to get their sound, but the fender is a very versatile amp so it doesn't surprise that i have a different tone than them. Personally i think a lot of their sound is more the amp than the pedal. To me it sounds like they are using the drive channel, combined with the pedal. The rasp that is characteristic of their sound seems more like the stock drive than the overdrive of the J&H.
