How do you cook pork tender loin?
I went out to buy some baby back ribs but my my inferior shopping skills I purchased a huge slap of pork tender loin instead. I have no idea how to cook this. I was thinking of slow cooking it on the grill with BBQ sauce but I don't know if that will work. So how do you cook tender loin? What would be the best way of cooking it?
I have some hickory chips so I could smoke it in my charcoal grill but what should I keep the temp and how long do I cook it?
If it's a whole loin (about 6 inches in diameter), I have cut them into fourths or thirds, cooked one piece and froze the others. I love to cook them slowly on my gas grill. I season them and place them on the grill at its lowest setting. Try around 40 minutes and turn it onto the other side for another30-40 minutes. I'm no chef so I usually cut into it when I think it's about done. If it's not pink in the middle, it's done. Good luck!
