my car amp turns off then speakers turn off too when I have the gain high and I turn up the volume?
When I have my amp gain high and I turn up my volume the green light on my amp turns red and the amp turns off and then the speakers turn off as well. However I turn down the volume a little and the amp and speakers turn back on. I don't know if I am over powering the speakers or the amp is over heating or the cable are touching other cables/wrongfully installed or the car cdplayer/head unit doesn't have enough power or something else?
it is called clipping! your amp is installed improperly and is protecting itself from burning out due to improper matching of speakers/wires/and amp
