What Pedal Chain order should i use?
i have the following (amp->1->2->3->4->5->guitar)
1-Line 6 Verbzilla
2-Ibanez TS9
3-Dunlop Hendrix Fuzz Face
4-Dunlop Hendrix Wah (JH-1B)
5-Dunlop Roto-vibe
is this a good order?
also, would a tuner go before 1 or after 5?
Unless you're going for something different (ie, whacky, or Tom Morello-esque, etc) the traditional order for guitar fx is:
buffer/tuner/compression
distortion
modulation (chorus, phaser, flanger, etc)
time-based (ie delay, reverb, echo, etc)
eq/filter/wah/volume
You can really, and should really, feel free to put eq anywhere its needed, its probably the most underutilized, most subtle, and most effective tool you have to sculpt your tone.
So in your case, I would go something like this
Guitar
tuner
ts9
fuzz face
roto-vibe
verbzilla
wah
although I would want to experiment and see if the wah sounded better before the verbzilla, or before the rotovibe too. ideally, I would want the verbzilla to be in the fx loop, it would sound best there. Really, the same goes for all modulation - when its in the fx loop, its more pronounced and clear. Matter of personal preference.
