Is it worth getting a Boss FBM-1 pedal?

I have a Peavey Valveking and i am a little disappointed when it comes to the overdrive. I have always liked the Fender Bassman Re-Issue but couldn't afford it. I was wondering if the boss fbm-1 pedal will do anything tone-wise to an already tube driven amp. Also if anyone has the pedal I would like to know if it's worth the money.

the fender bassman was originally a bass amp but was also used by guitar players in the 50's and 60's so im looking for the pedal for guitar

Alright, well I do play bass but i cannot say i have that pedal. But! i do have a recomendation for you.
Go into your closest good music store that stocks that bass pedal and i'm sure that they will give you a test run of it (anything for a paying customer eh). Then you can decide yourself if it is what you want, instead of going on other peoples judgements.

I myself use a Zoom B2 Multi Effects Processor and i have been very happy with how it sounds, there are alot of good sounds on there ranging from Overdrive to Synth. And it is all customizable too, thats why i love it.
