What does "C Ped" mean?
In a jazz ensemble arrangement by Universal Music Publishing, there is a note marked with "C Ped" above it. Being well taught in music theory, and my teacher having a doctorate in music theory, we have no clue what this means. My best guess is that this should be played as a pedal tone of some sort, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know for sure what this "C Ped" means?
C ped refers to a pedal point-usually on the bottom--but can appear anywhere
