The Fender Blender.?
I'm an up and coming guitarist. I play lead/acquostic guitars and sometimes the base. I've recently heard of this device and I can't seem to get any information as to what it really does. What sounds and effects do you get out of it? Is it worth buying?
Also I can't seem to find and pedalboards and pedals that I like. Any help on sources will do. I'm looking for a combination of wah, overdrive, modulation, distortion, octaves, a drive amplifiers, tone enhancers and a few others. Thanks guitarists.
The blender is a really mean fuzz. If you have ever heard the Smashing Pumpkins and wondered how they got such a mean and wicked, grinding, heavy guitar tone...wel thats the fender blender. Kevin Shields uses it too...you can hear it on My Bloody Valentine songs, their guitar sound is super thick as well. I think it sounds great and plan to buy one soon.
Now...it sounds like your looking for something on the lines of the Boss ME-50...a multi-effects unit. I think your best bet is to go to a Guitar Center or Sam Ash and try out several of those and see which ones you like. Alternatively, you can figure out which effects your favorite bands use that you like most, and track down the gear they use...
