How should I set up my guitar pedal board from amp to guitar?
I have these pedals: Morley Volume/Wah, Boss Compression Sustainer, Boss DD-6, Electro Harmonix LPB-1, TC Electronic Nova Modulator, Fender Tuner, and 2 Maxon OD-808 Overdrives. I just have no idea how to order these to maximize my size by what they can do. If it helps: I am running through a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10 into an American Strat with a Hot Rails Humbucker, a Fender Noiseless middle pick-up, and a Bartolini bridge pick-up. Share your thoughts!
I agree with the guy that says to put the WAH pedal first.
Two of those I had no idea what they are, there are so many effects these days. I'd probably put the sustainer after the overdrive. You need 2 overdrives? ... Geez, you 've got way too many overdrives here The LPB is also an overdrive.. Ok ....Lets see...
Tuner, Wah, All the overdrives in line, (just don't use em all at once it'll sound ridiculously crappy if you do.), the Sustainer, the modulator and then the Digital Delay last.
You'll only need one over drive most of the time. For leads you might just punch on the other Maxon or the LPB jsut for a little more oomph and volume on the solos and punch off for rhythm.
The Wah will sound funny anywhere else in line, unless you want to put it at the end for a very funky special sound. But it' s VERY Wah-y
And really modulates the guitar heavily and drops the output off of all your effects.
It's better to overdrive the wah rather than wah-ing the overdrive.
You gotta be doing some kind of Speed Metal deal to be using all those effects. LOL
