guitar trouble?
can someone help me?! i have a crate amp and a guitar that says "hohner" on it (have no idea model). i think the amp model is IIR by SLAM. i recently borrowed a distortion pedal but i dont think that it's working. how can i get the regular rockin sound that i hear from the big bands?! if you need the pedal's manufacturer, its Big Muff electro-harmonix with some pi symbol on it.
I remember starting out with a Memphis guitar and some sort of low end amp...and desperately trying to get that thick guitar sound I hear on records.
I have good news and bad news for you. Good news: you can get this sound. Bad news: It is gonna cost you.
You have a starter guitar and low end amp my friend. Start saving up. Get a Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Ibanez guitar and look at amps from Line6, Mesa, Marshal or Fender. If you want the THICK sound Line6 and Mesa are where it is at.
I have a Gibson SG with a Line6 Vetta II...cost a bunch but they crank! Foo Fighter city.
I also have a Fender Telecaster that I use...gives me a much thinner sound.
Trust me...stop messin with those pedals...waste of money.
