im not sure whether to get a boss distortion factory and all these other individual stompboxes for pedal and set up a pedal board or should i just get a boss gt-8 multifx pedal. im only 14 and have no experience with pedals :S

Man, like everything else in life it's a compromise. You can get a Digitech RP355 for under $200 that gives you hundreds of models and stomp box pedals that would cost thousands of dollars. So ask yourself this. Would anyone even buy stomp box pedals if the multi-effects stuff was just as good at a fraction of the cost? Of course not. You can get a bunch of so-so sounding effects in a multi-effects unit or you can spend more money and get the actual pedals these "computers" try to emulate. Personally I'd buy one good stomp box at a time starting with a good distortion pedal.
