Do I need an additional distortion pedal to go with a whammy pedal?
I'm getting a DigiTech Whammy Pedal sometime at the end of this week. I have a Roland Micro Cube for its sound and portability (because I play on the streets on weekends) and I'm in love with its distortion (I play anything from Classic Rock to Heavy Metal). So what I'm wondering is, do I need to use a distortion pedal with the whammy pedal, or can I just keep using the amp's distortion?

The whammy pedal won't interfere with the amps distortion at all.
you CAN have a separate distortion pedal if you want... its good for switching between distortion and clean channels.... but it's not needed
you should be fine with the amps distortion
