Has anyone bought a Bunker Guitars? Are they as good as the reviews?
I'm looking to get an electric guitar and I found this site

Where they have beautiful instruments and what they call a "tension free" neck. It looks pretty cool, but I'm kinda surprised the guitars are only 600 - 5000. They seem high end boutique. Has anyone heard of them? Know anyone with a Bunker Guitar? How are they?
I personally don't own one, but I have had the privilege of playing a few. Generally speaking they were in the upper range price wise (I don't think any were near 5k, but more like 2-3k) . . . I was skeptical of your $600 bottom price you mentioned. However, I checked out the site myself and it does seem that currently after rebate you can indeed get their bare bones Classic '57 model for around $600 bucks. Not bad for a USA made electric guitar.
In my experience you won't find a better instrument for the money. They cost more than a lot of other guitars, but feature for feature they are a quality instrument, and IMO are probably under priced. I've personally never played that were in the 5-6 thousand range . . . My cousin bought an mvp Bunker custom model and think he spend just over 3 grand, and it's an amazing instrument. Sustains like you wouldn't believe. The guitar just keeps going. More sustain than my prized Gibson Les Paul I'm ashamed to say. 
. Maybe I'll have to ask him to answer this question, but yes, I've played his as well as an older Classic model and a hollow body acoustic, but I don't remember the model name. If you are looking for sustain and have the money it just might make your Les Paul become your backup axe.
Also, I just did some research on Harmony central and seems there is a review on an MVP there with a price paid. It was a 2002 review, but it claims a price of "US $2850."
Also, he says:
"I took this guitar over to a friend's house and he played it through his Rivera Jake studio. I had to pry it loose from his fingers to get it back."
That's pretty much sums up my experience. Now that I've answered this I think I need to check them out again. Good luck and I hope that helps.
Oh, one more thing, not very many things in life come with a lifetime warranty, but the Bunker two piece guitar neck does. Generally speaking quality follows the warranty.
