What are some good and well known distortion pedal bands would have on their pedal board ?
I have a pedal board now. Just 5 pedals and i want a new Distortion pedal.I am using the Boss DS-1 i like it a lot. Should i stick to it ? or is are there any other great stampbox distortion pedals ... btw is mxr distortion good ? thnks
I am an electo-harmonix guy. I use the Russian Big Muff Pi distortion/sustainer pedal. It has a good tight distortion sound with some added fuzz, because it's the Russian version. Look at the English Muff'n as well, it has that legendary British sound. One last one is the Double Muff; it's two distortions in one. One is a smooth sounding distortion and the other is an over-the-top overdrive, and it really compliments the smooth distortion.
I was once a BOSS man, but I just feel electro-harmonix is a better brand of pedals. Also, the guys who work for them are much more passionate about putting the best product out there.
