Which is the better humbucker set the Gibson BurstBucker for bridge and neck or the emg 81 bridge & 85. neck?
i want a heavy metal sound.and very high distortion, but also want my guitar to sing and sound beautiful when i want it too.
i have an mxr fullbore metal pedal and can get as much distortion as id ever need.
and i thought that was a good thing. but then on tv i watched a metallica concert and their guitars sounded soo perfect and beautiful. and smooth
and i do either put out alot of clean midrange (if you can figure out what i mean) i want it to sound thick too and not like a "stinging" treble boosted humbucker
or if i need another pedal in addition to the humbuckers to sound like metallica reccomendations are welcome
go for the burstbucker its a sweet tone and sings nicely as you wanted. for the metal sound youre looking for i recommend the BOSS "Metal Core" ML-2 pedal, here's the link
