i want more of a heavy distortion sound. And dose a distortion pedal boost your sound alot im new to pedals
Try both before you decide which is better for you. A good way to use a distortion pedal is combined with your amps distortion. Set the amp for a good rhythm distortion and set the pedal to function as a lead boost. By adding a little more distortion and edge as well as a bit more volume, the distortion pedal can function as a very good way to boost your sound!
