how do I gat a metal bass tone with my P bass?

Im looking for a heavy bass tone like the ones in Trashed, Lost and Strungout by Children of Bodom, Floods by Pantera or any songs from the Come Clarity album by In flames. I have a P bass, Im playing through a multi-effects pedal, and a Gallien Krueger MB 115 200 watt Ultralight Combo that has a 4 band eq, horn, contour and a boost.
