Distortion pedal: drive or clean channel?
I just got my new Fender Frontman 212R. I used a 15-watt Behringer amp before and even while using the distortion effects in it, my Big Muff distortion pedal sounded awesome. However, when i use the Drive channel on my new Fender, i guess it's too much distortion and the sound gets weak. Do you think if i turn the volume up, it will sound good? I can't really do that home because my parents will get angry 
By the way, the Big Muff sounds fantastic on the Clean channel. But what i'd like is to have a good drive sound and use my Big Muff for the epic distortion with good natural harmonics.
So what do you think? Can i get a full sound if i play with high volume? Do people usually use distortion pedals on the clean channel?
You are distorting distortion by running the pedal into an already driven channel. if you want the pedal, you should use it on the clean channel.
then you can just switch on/off distortion with the Big Muff
