How do I stop the buzzing in my bass amp without turning off overdrive?
I've got a Squier P-Bass (used, had it for three years), and a Fender Bass Amp (B-Dec 30 Bass Digital Entertainment Center). I have been using Overdrive effects (built into the amp), and I usually don't get nasty buzzing, but recently I've noticed it and I'm wondering if it's the amp or the bass (needs new strings, maybe a pickup problem). Whatever it is, how can I try to reduce the buzzing without completely eliminating the overdrive?
If it's an electronic buzz, something probably isn't grounded. It may also be caused from fluorescent or neon lights on the same circuit. Single coil pickups are notrious for picking them up.
