What does the dark blue portion of the capacity in iTunes stand for?

Audio is blue, video is purple, apps are green, other is orange, white is free. I have a dark blue color in between the audio and video, what does this stand for?
Also, my ipod is 8GB, but says it's only 7GB, is that because all the wiring, etc. takes up a GB? Could this be what the dark blue stands for?
