how does one make a bass driver for surround sound stereo?
I'm to cheap to buy one because I figure I can make a better one than I can buy If I had a clue as to how to do such a thing
I know how to build a box out of plywood and cut a round hole
and screw a speaker to a piece of plywood
I have 4 cheapO' speakers that work fine for the FM tunes and a bargain surround sound stereo but no bass driver.And I hear there is some gizmo that needs to go between the wires from the amp and the speaker itself
And also will a bigger/larger diameter Bass speaker be better than a smaller denser/thicker one.
There are lots of site that offer instructions on the net, how to build a sub woofer...you need to figure out the optimum box size, what driver to use..etc.. you could also buy a kit for places like parts express, or just get the drivers and the amp from them and build your own box...a sub woofer is not that hard top build...its just a matter of buying the correct parts...and building the right size box...
