Here are the opitions for this question I am having a hard time with :
a. zero
b. 9 volts
c. 18 volts
d. 36 volts
b. 9 volts. Since the batteries are in parallel, that means the voltage across them is equal. In parallel, they can drive a heavier load (i.e. the can draw more current since all 4 share the current supply to the load).
If the 9-volt batteries were in series, the voltages would sum for a total of 36 volts.
